Great Resumes Fast » Resume Writing Tips » Employees May See Small Pay Increase in 2011

I am sure there are no employees who would complain about a bump in his or her paycheck, even if it is a small one. According to one article, workers might see a little something extra in their salaries in 2011. With an improving economy, many companies look to increase their workers’ wages in the new year.

However, these raises in income may not be noticed immediately by employees. In a survey conducted by one company, employers expect a pay increase of about 2.8% this year, higher than the 2.7% in 2010. I know this is not much to some people, but a few more dollars in your pocket never hurts, especially when the cost of living seems to rise annually.

Most employers probably do not mind paying out more money, as doing so could help them keep their best workers. While this pay increase may be small, it represents a good sign that the economy is getting better.

I don’t know about you, but any boost in my paycheck would be a pleasant surprise.
