Avoiding age discrimination on your LinkedIn profile. Do you really have to even worry about that?

I believe age discrimination is RIDICULOUS and there’s a section of your LinkedIn profile that opens itself up for it. While it may not be possible to avoid all forms of age discrimination, this one profile change can eliminate the snap judgments *some* hiring managers make.

My goal here is not to hide anything from employers or help you get in to a company that has serious internal issues with hiring someone older than 45 or doesn’t value the wisdom and experience you offer. However, I do know that age discrimination exists – and it stinks – and this is just one simple way to sidestep those unconscious judgments that some entry-level HR folks are making when screening resumes and researching candidate LinkedIn profiles.
